These days

my mind is swollen

with an

amber-eyed

golden-haired

fiercely pretty

mermaid

in a white sundress

on a weekend night

with rainbow hammok twine

wrapped around a wrist

and me

around a finger

with a glossy-grey tip

peeling down my bottom lip
